351C in a ranger..... any 1?

has any 1 in here ever tried to install a 351 cleveland in a ranger? I have the engine and trans sitting in the garage and I was thinking of transplanting them in to a stang, but the more I think about it , it would make a sweet power plant for a ranger.

I know If I where to do it I would probably need a fox body oil pan, front springs and beef up the frame, and the fire wall might have to be trimmed.

I am assuming that all the v6 ranger came with the 8.8 so the rear end "might" be ok.

Any of you have any ideas of what else I should be concerned about?

What would be the best years for a donnor truck? I was thinking early 90's.

I have 2, one is built (about 425 horse) and one stock out of my 70 torino. On top of that my father has I think 5 clevelands now. 4 on stands in the barn. I built the cleveland for my Torino, but its going to need a bit of TLC now. I have been thinking of putting the one I built in somthing else for the time being. I could always rebuild another for the Torino.

they are great cars

unfortunately I had a 3/4 ton chevy truck with a steak bed back in to my torino and the guy didn't have insurance. So its been slow fixxin, especially since I am now married with a house and kid.

which year ranger has the most room under te hood?

I would say '84-'90

My daughter's Ranger has the 3.0 V6/ 7.5" rear.

Maybe the 4.0.. ?
