Got the Dynomax super turbo installed. Muffler was 35 bucks, and it was 90 for him to fab a y pipe to deal with the dual to offset, and clamps, and fix my rear hanger. I am pretty pleased for a v6 i suppose. It is not loud but there is no mistaking it for a stock exhaust, which is the balance I wanted. Its really not noticeable at idle at all, or really under 2000 rpms for that matter(atleast from in the car). It gets a tad loud(er) in the 2500rpm range, which is where most mufflers tend to drone, or be loudest. Its not annoying, and I will grow used to hearing it as well. Above 3k rpms I like the sound, it smooths out and it is not all the loud. At 60 I couldn't really hear it. I want to test it at 70-75 still. The sport with the short wheel base makes for poor interior resonance and drone issues with exhausts, so we shall see.
I need to have someone drive it while I stand outside and listen. I've only heard the relative quietness from inside. Revving it with my door open makes it sound pretty loud, and it pops and gurgles a little bit when I get off the gas from revving. It is still breaking in, and seems smoother now than this morning. I will get clips when I can.
BTW, this is a 2.25" offset inlet, the stock dual 2.25" pipes run into a custom y pipe to meet the offset. The tail pipe is stock 2.25" with the resonator in place. Basically the muffler and Y pipe is the only change. This muffler is 4" shorter than the stock one.
