So I obtained a 2000 ford explorer xls with the 4.0 OHV motor in it with 177k miles on it. I got it from my stepdad, who got it from his nephew. When he obtained the vehicle, the engine was knocking and still is to this day. I was sorta given the vehicle in late july of this year (with the motor still knocking) and have put about 4k miles on it since than. The motor still runs and gets me from point A to point B quite nicely and still runs fairly strong as long as i keep the oil change up on it regularly. However, i know i am going to need a new motor soon, and am making this post to ask if there is anyone near delaware that is selling a 4.0 OHV motor with decent enough mile on it. If anyone on here does and you live near delaware or in it, please respond and let me know asap!! thanks.
