Now that the rebuild is all done, what was the total cost?

I'm wondering too. I'd like to know if its worth rebuilding vs buying a low mileage used engine. Mine is rattling really bad now even at idle and will need to come out this spring...if it lasts that long.
Extra stuff I had to buy.
I had to buy a new crankshaft and harmonic balancer...
Crankshaft...........................................................$170.00
Harmonic balancer.................................................$136.56
OTC timing tool set( Ebay)......................................$120.00
Water pump..........................................................$76.56
one more thing... anyone ever get a part number for that plug in the back of the block that covers the lower jackshaft gear? Anyone know if it comes with the RH cassette kit since it has to be removed?
That was an awesome build. I own four 4.0 SOHC engines and 3 of them are running and one is out of order.
All my 4.0s are in Rangers ... I had to come over here to actually get some real information on the 4.0 SOHC.
