I have a 97 explorer w/a spun main bearing and high miles. I also have a 97 5.0 moutaineer that has been rolled. My plan is to put the explorer body on the moutaineer frame. Will I have to change anything under the dash to do the swap?? I have the ability to lift the bodies on and off and I work at the explorer plant in louisville ky so I know the chassis upside down. Any info would be great, thanks..

Good advice from IZ. But everything I've seen says it's the same thing. You can do some searching online for part numbers between the two vehicles and make sure everything is the same. I'm betting it is as long as they both have the same options!

I am pretty sure a 97 dash is a 97 dash, the only differences in the interior may be the GEM module and how it talks to the trucks features, like 4x4, message center, etc

I would bet its plug and play
