I am a poor college student and I want to put a 4" lift on my 1993 explorer. I am new to the 4x4 arena of cars but not to cars in general so I don't know much about lifting but I believe I am familiar enough with cars to put the lift on myself. What is the cheapest and easiest way to lift my explorer without having the price effect trail worthiness? Is there more to it than adding a set of shackles in the back, longer springs in the front, shocks all around, and maybe extending the break lines. And how big of tires can you stuff under a 4" lift? As I said I am new to this and I am looking for some good advice?
