4405 TC chain - blue link

Question for all your tech buffs... what is the difference between chains with one blue link and two links? I know these have the same number of links and are the same width... so what's with the blue links?

Man, you got me, but if it matters I opened a 7GA out of a '97 and it had one blue link.

For the 4404 application it mentions a 1 to 2 link split, and there is no sensor in that t case.

been there... but my question is are these interchangable? Someone told me the one with two blue links is an upgrade to the one with one.

huh? I guess I will find out the hard way since I got the chain and am ready to put it in.
