went & bought the ac one supposed to have 18k on it got the linkage & stuff not for sure if it was the linkage that was on the t/c i got or not,it seems there is a lot of t/c but the linkage & shifter seem to be messing on most ??????

From what I have read on this forum, the differences are speed sensor related.
The reason why you don't see many shifters is that the shifter for the transfercase attaches to the side of the transmission and the typical junkyard worker takes them off and tosses them in a pile of scrap, or sell them with the transmission.

well if you try to just buy the linkage all off a sudden its made out of gold

Because it requires:
A) They have to have an "unmolested" transfercase/transmission in a vehicle
B) Taming the gorillas that typically tear these things out
C) Keeping that same gorilla from tossing that linkage and shifter into the scrap pile because he has done it like that 300,000 times before
D) Actually get all those little parts to land all in the same spot for you to pick it up, without those gorillas seeing it and thinking it belongs in that big scrap pile out back
