When I pushed the buttons all it does is light up sometimes and the relays in the left quaterpanel go click click but no engagement. I even pushed the white button on the brain and all it does is light up the red led. I have the warn hubs installed. So I took the shift motor off the transfer case Sat when the I got sick and tired of trying to get it to engage during the Noreaster we were having, I was then able to engage 4wd by turning the shaft to 4hi. I took the shift motor apart thinking it was froze but it wasn't, and when I put it back together it still did the same thing......NOTHING! Does anyone make a manual lever that will bolt on to the case so I can engage it when I want? I really don't want to bother with getting new electrical parts especially that brain that sits back there because it's stealership part only and it's gonna be BIG BUCKS!!!!:(

Simple answwer.............no.

You can swap out the electric t-case for a manual one though. There are a couple (with linkages) for sale in the "For Sale" forum.

If you have the energy to do a conversion

Seems you could take 30 minutes to clean the motor. Search and ye will find. My experience is that it is not dirty brush contacts but the bearings dry out from heat in the motor.

I've been there and down that road several times.

I would guess 99% of the time it is the shift motor. The shift motor is actually 2 parts. The worm driven motor and the geared positon sensor. The Position sensor is notorious for getting "lost". This occurs because the plastic stop inside the sensor breaks apart over time and allows the sensor to travel slightly outside its operating range. If this happens then the the 4x4 computer module next to rear washer fluid reservoir will have no idea what position the T-cases is in and will shut down and do nothing.

You should read the info on the edu site and then take the wire harness off the shift motor and test for 4H continuity amoung the various pins.

This pic shows a dirty armature on the shift motor.

This pic shows how to hold the brushes back against their springs so the motor can be re-installed.

I can give a step by step guide if needed.
