Hello to all, this is a great site. I found a lot of informational stuff here, but haven't been able to fix my problem. I have an 01 ranger 4x4, and between last winter and this fall the 4x4 has started acting up. Never been a problem before. When I start the truck, lights do come on like they should, right after startup, no blinking, but my problem is when I switch it to 4hi, it takes a really long time for it to shift into 4wheel. And when I try to switch back to 2wheel, it takes even longer. I have tried cleaning shift motor and wiring harness attached to it, still same problem. So I am wondering, is it the shift motor itself, some vacuum problem I don't know about, or something inside the transfer case itself? I am rather confused about this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Another problem I have had, about a year after I bought it (bought in 2003), the 4lo quit working. Any ideas?
