4X4 not working?

For the first time this season, I neede to used my 4X4, but nothing happened! It's the button for "4X4" and "Low Gear" above the radio, but it wouldn't engage, nor would the light some on. Definitely didn't feel it engage at all. Where would be a good place to start to diagnose?

Electric motor is dead? It can be heared when you put 4x4 on, door open and listen. Its located on transfer case, you can see it under the car.

I got rear ended a couple of weeks ago and the bumper got crunched. Wonder if it jarred the module? I'll start there and work out. Thanks for the link.
