Alec I know you like to go wheeling but it is much harder for your Truck to do the same thing a 4x4 can. I am not saying your Explorer cant do it but but no matter how you slice it, it will take more for your truck to do it.

Believe me when I say that if I was out of school and had a "normal" 40 hour job I'd either SAS Splat or buy a beater.
