First post, and I'm a novice, so if this is obvious, go easy on me.

I had no symptoms prior to a "noninvasive" transmission flush (as described by the shop). When I picked up my 2001 Explorer, I had a 2-3 flare. I brought it back a week later and they said there was an abnormal amount of clutch material and metal material on the magnet in the pan.

I've read a lot of the posts about the 5R55E flare up, and was wondering if the clutch material rules out the suggested solutions (VB rebuild, replace EPC solenoid).

The previous flush was about 35K before. Could the dirty fluid have been providing the friction and hiding existing clutch damage?
