5R55e Cold. Slow 2 go in gear and slips.

I have a 2000 5R55e and it has started to act up on cold starts. Takes a good minute to go into gear and slips on take off 1st - 3rd, But when warmers up drives fine. I have read about changing the v-body gasket and EPC Solenoid.

Got any advice on what I should do?

Ck fluid level and condition. Any codes or od light flashing?

I have checked the fluid and it is good level and color and no codes at this time.

Transmission bands might need to be adjusted. The colder fluid will take longer to allow stuff to pressurize inside the transmission. Suggestion is to just allow your truck to warm up in the morning. I know it won't do effect the transmission to much because its not moving but the transmission radiator lines will help things get going once the truck is up to temp
