Just for what it's worth 67-mid 70 model year broncos had dana 30 s in them. Mid 70 to 75 had 44's with drums and 76-77 had discs. They were all low pinion.
I just got done with Riff's truck and with the 5.5 inch springs he would not have been able to use a low pinion diff, the front driveshaft won't handle it. So depending on the amount of lift you plan to run you might need to cut down a fullsize high pinion or get a custom diff built.
