Hello,

I guess this questions is mainly for Diff. but I thought I'd post it for all to see. I contacted AA this morning and spoke with them about the adapter. Since I do mainly 2wd street applications I asked about the adapter only and some pricing. I spoke with Geno(spelling?) and he quoted me $240 on the adapter plate and another $49 on the flywheel. That's great, no problems there. Then we started more about the tranny and this is where I had the question. Now I know it says on the site that the use of the 60 degree V6 700R4 case will have to be used he said that the 90 degree V8 bellhousing will have to be used. I thought that the V8 bellhousing was too wide? The one in the picture and description on their site actually says V6 and it is one. So before I order this can anyone clear this up for me?

Thanks Doug904.

I think thats backwards, from what I understand the V-8 700R4 can be used but with the 60 degree bellhousing..........however what do I know??

The bellhousing is cast with the tranny and is not a removeable type. A 60 degree 700R-4 is required, but the internals are the same and can be rebuilt to the V-8 specs. There are only a few people at AA who know the whole story since there is no other information on the kit with the exception of the engineers notes. If your going to talk to someone in sales, talk to Vic. He is the most up to date on this project.

Thanks,

I just wanted to make certain before I placed my order and got the wrong tranny to fit behind it. I'm familair with the 700r4 it was just that he insisted that the V8 was the one they were using. He even said the adapter could be used with the turbo 350. Why would I waste my time with that, if I wanted a 3 speed I'd get a C4 and do it alot cheaper, hahaa. Anyway, I now know who to talk to thanks for the help!!

Later Doug904.
