Well this is just a thought that was sparked from seeing a 98 ranger with a 03 conversion so please dont shoot me down.

the reason is becuae i really like the rounded nose on the 03 but love the interior and rear end of my 01 but here are some questions hypothetically speaking (i.e. im made of money and time etc.)

first of all is it possible? with width match up on fenders grills bumpers etc.

how much extreme chasis modifications would there need to be?

some day i want to put the 5.0 in so will a front end conversion complicate this dream?

and...

suspension wise, does the 03 have upgraded/better suspension qualities?

again this is just a thought that if is possible may become a project.... but of course i need to do the proper research but i figured id start here with the pros! lol well thanks for any answers have a good one!

Your best bet is a Sport trac front conversion in fiberglass, the Gen III truck is a FAR cry from your 91 Gen I, competely different size, shape, body, frame, suspension, etc

there are one and 3 piece front clips avail for your truck in all sorts of Ford styles, from Gen II sploder, to Ranger Edge, to even the new F-150 style. IMO the best is the Sport trac conversion, the others look really funny unless you have some serious suspension with increased track width and big ass tires

Mcneil makes 2006 conversion clips for your truck also......funny looking IMO unless its a heavily modified truck

Mcneil has you covered:

I tried to get a pic in that yellow exp, but when I saw it it was too late at night, the next time I went it wasn't there, I had forgotten about it, I'll try to go and if the owner speaks english (that truck is in Mexico) I'll see if he wants to join the forum

oh and for future posts, IMO stand for In My Opinion.

Sorry to hijack the thread but will the 95 front end fit on a first gen pretty easy? I was looking at my moms and it looks like it wouldnt be that hard.

Guys I got a 98 exp. I want to change the lights and grill out to look more modern. What front ends can I put on mine? I like the way the new f150s look and the sport tracs are cool too. I'm looking basically for cool headlights. I'm going to buy the projector headlights with the halos so I'm trying to make this truck stand out.

Thx ahead.

i know this thread is old but as far as the sport trac conversion what all do i need and would it look good on a lowered ex?

does anyone have any information on this conversion i contacted the company that makes the fenders but they have have never gotten contact me with any thing on what i completely need to do this
