93 Ford Explorer has a fuel smell, and tries to stall.

Start engine in morning and idles perfect, When i turn the ngine off and restart the check engine light stays on and the engine will not idle and then stalls. You can smell the raw gas. I can keep engine runninng with light pressure to gas pedal.

The first day problem only happened once and after restart check engine light was off and ran all day. The next day started and idled till i turned the engine off, restarted the light stayed on and would not idle. Now the third day same story. started this morning fine ,ran to an appointment shut down engine came out restarted ,check engine light stay on rough idle then shut dwn. Can drive this way with slight pressure on the pedal.

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the stock 91-94 section. It sounds like it's getting flooded. Check the fuel pressure regulator, and the ECT sensor.

yeah...brooklyn's right...same symptons mine had with a bad FPR....i bet it drives fine around 45mph but when u slow down to turn or stop the idle gets shacky
