HEY EVERYONE, IM NEW TO THE SITE AND NOT REALLY SURE HOW TO DO THINGS ON HERE YET. BUT I WANT TO LOWER MY 95 PROBABLY 2 TO 3 INCHES IN THE FRONT AND BACK. ANY IDEAS ON THE BEST WAY FOR ME TO DO THIS ??? I HAVE ONLY HAD THE TRUCK FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS NOW, AND I HAVE A FEW THINGS DONE TO IT. LIKE THE 22 INCH RIMS, IN DASH TV, BOTH SUN VISORS WITH TV'S IN THEM, FLIP DOWN OVER HEAD TV, 2 12" SUBS, 4% LIMO TINT OVER THE FACTORY TINT ON THE REAR HALF OF TRUCK, 4% LIMO TINT ON THE FRONT 2 WINDOWS, AND 35% TINT ON THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD. I STILL GOTTA RE-DO THE TWO FRONTS TO MATCH THE " MIRROR " TINT FROM THE FACTORY. I JUST ORDERED A BILLET GRILLE, AND GETTING READY TO ORDER ALTEZZA STYLE TINTED TAILLIGHTS. BUT I MAINLY WANTING TO LOWER THE TRUCK. AT LEAST 2 INCHES IF NOT 3. IF YOU HAVE IDEAS ON THE BEST WAY TO DO SO, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP ! HERE ARE A FEW PICS THAT I HAVE OF THE TRUCK ITS SELF.

hey welcome to the site, question...im thinking of getting some rims...22s so you def caught my attention, did you HAVE to that trim over the wheels off for them to fit? or did you get the truck like that?

torsion twist in front and blocks between rear spring-axle.

'95 Ex on 22s

Check in the 'how-to' section......there is a section there on "how to lower your Explorer" I believe it's "seriously lowered Explorer" or something like that.............and, "Welcome mate :) "

I Did Everything Myself, It Was Completely Stock When I Got It. The Wheels Went Right On, No Cutting, No Rubbing Etc. I Was Honestly Suprised They Fit Without Any Problems. Just Needed New Lugs, But That Was Only Like 20 Bucks So... But I Definitly Get Alot Of Complaments On It With The New Wheels, So Im Happy.

Nice X U GOT THERE TWITCH

...see how he has those flares over the wheel well? i have them on my X too and i noticed in your pic you dont have em at least it doesnt look like it (kinda dark sorry if im wrong) i want 22s but i really like those flares and i dunno if im gonna get em if i gotta take em off...

nice x, i sorta like those rims, ya id deff match the front windows to the factory mirrior tint, i did on my 92 x, i did 20% mirrior and it matched damn near perfectly. then 5% black over that.. i now have a 97 explorer with black factory tint, so i did double 5% black all around, and 5% on the whole windshield, with a double 5% glarestrip :)

its not a daily driver, but it was for 2 years, not one ticket/accident

i cant find pics of my 92's tint :(

all windows down

tint on the windsheild? a little extreme isnt it?

Ya Im Definitly Fixing The 2 Fronts. Just Havent Gotten Around To It. Dont Feel Like Scraping Glue Of Just Yet. Lol (bein Lazy) But Here In Pittsburgh The State Troopers And Some Of The Other Township Cops Are Very Strict On Window Tint. They Say Your Not Allowed Any Percent Of Tint( Unless Factory ). But I Cant Ride Like That, Gotta Black Em Out ! As For The Windshield It Is A Lil Xtreme But Its Just Something I Like To Do On My Rides.

Jt. As For Them Lips On Yours, I Dont See It Causing Any Type Of Problems At All. Mine Never Had Them, I Wish It Did Tho, They Look Good. But I Have Plenty Of Room On Mine Still. Thats Why Im Goin To Lower It.

the original poster has windshield tint too, just not as dark. its getting really common now, at least in florida.

only me and a few others are rollin around with 5% on the windshield though. most do 15%-50%

sad to see any explorer look like that,

its sad to see explorers with 22's and not very functional.

Do you want a cookie? How many more times are you going to post your opinion in this thread? If you don't like seeing an Explorer on 22's then maybe you shouldn't open a thread titled, "95 Explorer On 22's". :thumbdwn:

some states are really strict about tint...florida cops really dont care, unless u get stopped by a complete ####### cop

Welcome to this forum! Don't drive out of Florida, or Pennsylvania with a tinted windshield. Cops in another state look to pull people over for stuff like this. I know they pull people over in NY for just about anything (tint, loud stereo, cargo van with regular plates on a parkway, burned out taillight bulbs, and headlights, talking on a cell phone, etc). I know somebody which got ticketed for parking his car with a clear cover over the license plate. They said that it was a restriction blocking the plate. Watch out for hitch ball connectors which are mounted too close to the rear plate too. Maybe they allow more stuff like this in Florida, and Pennsylvania?
