One way or another it will work. So don't worry about that motor not working for you. That sounds like a pretty good deal too.
Jamie, that 5.0 was a '97 my buddy bought with a blown head gasket. So we tore it down, found out the heads were warped, had them machined and cleaned, reinstalled, so it runs like new.
