Hello, Not Been On Here For A While, but I May As Well Make This Post A Good One. Several Weeks Ago My Ex Started Rattling Like A Machine Gun,so Off The Road It Came, I Ordered The Chains And The Tensioners From Fords And Ordered The Timing Tool Kit From America (ntx Tool Warehouse If Anybodys Interested). Last Weekend My Mate Who Is A Very Experienced Fitter Changed The Front Chains Without The Timing Kit,and With The Engine In Place. The Rear Chain Will Be Changed Next Week, Its Only Slightly Rattling But May As Well Be Done, hopefully Still With The Engine In Place, but My Mate Reckons Its Possible. After Putting It Back Together I Was Nervous In Case The Timing Was Out,but To Be Fair I Could Not Fault His 30 Years Experience Or His Bottle Of Tip-ex To Time The Engine, this Is The Best This Explorer Has Ever Been, but It Was Handy Having The Timing Kit To Hand Just In Case. I Cannot Wait For Next Week To Have Fun With The Rear Chain.
