Sure have. Buttloads of pm's asking to take over payments...not possible. lol especially when we have equity in the vehicle.

Everyone wants it but cannot afford it.

Any suggestions on where I might list my mountaineer for sale? I need a truck where I live

Now you selling the mountaineer? Hope you get a lightning:) You can sell it here, craigslist, ebay, etc. It's going to be hard to get what you want for your vechicles with everyone getting laid off/fired. You will just have to wait a little bit longer until the right person with the finances come along. Good luck and let us know what you plan on buying as a replacement. Plenty of fast trucks out there.

Only if I get what it's worth to me for it. If not, there's no point.

Suppose I could always keep it in the garage and go buy a beater truck, but if someone came with the right amount of cash, I'd let her go.

how come u want to sell ur mounty it looks bad ass and i love those saleens on it too

I don't really *want* to sell it but I really need a truck out where I live.

Thanks for the props.

Yo man, NICE work. Not only is your truck very tastefully executed, but it looks awesome. (thanks for representing for the mounty's on here too haha)

As far as selling it goes, i'd pay the 20 bucks and register on here and then list it. (coming from another non-elite, i know lol)

where u located and what kind of truck ur looking for cause i am located in southern cali there is a truck like 10 min away from where i live and its for sale its 03 Chevy 2500 they are asking like 16,500 for it and it is black colored with cloth seats.

You're missing the window shade on the driver's door. Otherwise, it looks amazing! And i kind of like how the chrome grill looks with the black paint and black lights.

Appreciate the hook-up, but my new neighbor who I've known for years has a dealer's license and gets me whatever vehicle I want cheap as hell. For instance, he just got another friend of mine an e55 amg 02' benz for 7 grand with a clean title. LOL

I considered it, believe me.

new one's been on order for 2 weeks. thanks for noticing. LOL

just got a brand new suede headliner installed today. looks great. going to the junkyard this weekend to get new visors and a new power mirror switch. little by little she's coming together.

I'd seen this thread before but hadn't read it. As I followed the heart warming story of this little lost puppy who found a loving home I thought to myself "Now I think I understand why women cry at weddings. It's just SO BEAUTIFUL. I recently trudged through an old fashioned junk yard where you bring your tools, find and pull what you want, and pay for it in a shack that passes for an office. It was a trip down memory lane for this 48 year old. So many cherished vehicles that could have been saved by someone with the patience and skills such as yourself. For instance I have a thing for the Lincoln MKVIIIs with the narrow slit headlights. I was going to say that you are a wonderful human being for so lovingly rescuing this Mountaineer, which you no doubt will maintain meticulously, drive regularly, and keep forever.
Only if I get what it's worth to me for it. If not, there's no point.

Suppose I could always keep it in the garage and go buy a beater truck, but if someone came with the right amount of cash, I'd let her go.
Then I read that you were considering selling her. Now don't take this the wrong way, for instance as if I'm joking, but if you sell her I will track you down and administer some "wall to wall counseling." :nono:

But wait! There's more.

O.K. That's it! You're lunch meat my poor misguided friend. You have a SOLID source for used vehicles at good prices and you're even contemplating selling the Mountaineer? You need professional help, in addition to the "wall to wall counseling."

Look. Take a look around and you will see there are plenty of people with plenty of disposable income, or credit, who are tasteless, infidel, bastiges, who treat vehicles like accessories, or disposable products.
"Ah... I got tired of it. I sold it for a PimpMobile." "Oh Dude, it got totaled. The cop cited me but it was like TOTALLY the other guy's fault. You know what I'm sayin? You know how I roll." No, you Austrolopithecine knuckle dragger, I do NOT know how you roll nor do I know what you are attempting to convey as my primary language is English, with a secondary language of German. You wrecked another man's labor of love! You deserve at least death, but that would be too painless, and although humanity would benefit from your departure from the planet and returning your biomass to the earth, THE MOUNTAINEER WILL STILL BE WRECKED!

ReLoaDeD BuLLiTT, even if you sell it to someone you think you know, like your Mother for instance, are you prepared to engage the services of a Psychiatrist specializing in borderline pathologies to evaluate the buyer? Psychologists to explore the person's emotional history and consistency of commitment to caring for the vehicle? Of course Lawyers must be engaged to investigate driving records, criminal background, and any legal actions in which the buyer was a defendant of plaintiff.

But even with all that, Can you ever TRULY know what is in a person's heart?

No. Of course you can't.

Now be a good chap. Put this foolishness out of your head, go out to the Mountaineer, sit behind the wheel, and tell her you will always take care of her, and she will always be safe in your protective custody.

She's been traumatized and finally come out the other end physically, but the scars of the trauma will always be there on the inside. You owe her this.

Now off to the garage with you.

LOL whoa...

LOL.....I say you did a good job because you almost brought a sad tear to my eye:D

I keep falling back in love with the truck. It's been pretty good to me since I put in the new motor and transmission, though. Only issues I've had were with my battery and exhaust manifold.

TechnoBill, that was funny stuff-reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry's mechanic "carnaps" his car because Jerry is neglecting it!

ReLoaDeD, that is one beautiful truck! Get that cheesie bumper sticker off the window, your Mounty is way too nice for it. Other than that, WoW. Nice job! Can you provide some details on the leather headliner/price or pics? I do hope you keep the truck though as Techno says!

Jerry's mechanic "carnaps" his car because Jerry is neglecting it!
Damn Straight! If I have to go down there with my Federal Protective Services Team it isn't going to go well for anyone. The Mounty would end up in custody to be adopted by another Serious Explorations board member, but we like to avoid breaking up families if possible. It's better for the kids, uh... cars.

Besides, when we hit a suspect it gives the local SRT heartburn. Our gear and surgical tactics  make them insecure. We're just ordinary guys doing a job, but they get all wrapped around the axle and take it personally. For instance, I hate having to work near Dallas! After their SWAT had that TV show they started getting delusions of competence.
