On the last day of our holiday coming home just south of North Bay (small town in northern Ontario) around 9
M saw a shadow about 40 feet in front of me come onto the road. it took a sec. to figure out what it was. It was Bullwinkle crossing the road, i cut the wheel to the right but i hit him on the rear quarter he slid up the hood and took out the right half of the windshield. Then he it got hit again from a small pick up in the left lane.but he got lucky no damage to his truck he just clip him with his bumper.the wife and kids where shaken up but thanks my lucky stars no one was hurt. it could of been worst if he came through the center of the windshield. After the police report i continue my 3 hour trip home.
call the ins. and took it to the body shop. the est. to repair the damage was $6000. the adjuster said the truck was only worth $4000 so they wrote it off and sending me a cheque for $5100 to look for a new one.which is not bad since i only paid $1500 for the explorer and i put $1000 in it to replace all timing chains and tensioner. now it the hassle to find another good one lol
