that thing looks sexy nice work, wish i had your drive

Have fun in Moab, drive safe. Will be watching for pics turned out great, you driving it or trailering it there?

Loading it on my trailer this morning. Got the Super Duty ready for the trip Yesterday. I almost cried when I filled the Super Duty up. $3.80 a gallon for diesel. :( Truck had a 1/4 tank and still 20 gallons cost over 70 bucks. Thank goodness it is under 400 miles to get there. So I will only have to fill the truck up one and half more times. LOL

I wish it was just a tank away for me. Last time out there was 6 tanks one way.

Have fun out there, your long days are about to pay off. Watch that trans temp like a hawk!

Any idea which trails your planning on traversing, or just winging it once you get there?

Fins and Things today for break in trail.
Pritchett Canyon tomorrow.
Tues is up in the air... Golden Spike, Hells Revenge, Poison Spider, Metal Masher.
See how the Merc does. I lowered and reinstalled the stock Tcase skid. Figured it was better then nothing. Hopefully the stock gas tank skid holds up. And I hope I don't break any shafts.

Sorry for the bad Moab luck. Curious when you have the time what happened and how you said you would have done it differently? Dana30 to small for V8 and 5,000lbs. Sounded like you could ft it to the tailed so that's good, have a safe non trailer tire blowing drive home.

P.S. I currently live in Laramie WY so not really to far from your place.

30 is working great. I don't plan on locking it. I plan on building a 44 later this year. When I built the track bar I made it out of 1.25" .250 wall dom I thought. Turns out it was some weird size. So when I bent it make clearance it must have kinked. Cause it did fine on Fins and Things as soon as I got half way up Poison Spider it bent. So that made for bad start. I was able to get it back down the road. I will have video soon. This is the smoothest most comfortable rig I have every wheeled. The flex is amazing. The rides like a Cadi. The longer wheel base made it walk right up everything I pointed it at. I wish I had skipped the bend in the track bar. I will have it fixed soon and will have a bunch more wheeling trips in it soon. Have to come wheel with me in CO. The boys and I rode in a Cherokee to the top of PS. It was not as smooth as merc. I will probably coming out in May.

I would love to come wheel in CO. Its an easy weekend trip :) I am goof to Durango and Silverton in June and was wondering if there is anything anyone knows of to wheel around there. Going to go drive the million dollar highway and ride the train, my wife has never been on it. So deciding whether or not to take the Explorer or the Taurus. Its the same distance to Moan actually 470 miles from here. Anyways will for sure have to set a wheelin trip. There is another SASed Mountaineer that lives on Fort Collins to he finished his this last Fall.

Glad to hear that it did great though and smooth. Can't wait for the pics and vids. Next wings will spend 4 months in full custom fab class :) Do okay but can't wait for the class. Soon as I am done with Wyotech should have it rest to SAS.

Looking great, if were me skip building the D44 and go D60 that was mistake I made with my 4dr Explorer and big tires, will still eat axle shafts.

I think a 44 will be fine for my needs. The curb weight is around 4k from what I have found. But I will find a scale soon and double check. And for what a 60 costs I can buy a lot of spare 44 shafts. :D
