- 1999 Mountaineer 5.0
Greetings. Recently purchased a used 99 Mountaineer 5.0L AWD with 151K miles on it, and the MIL light was on with code P1740 TCC solenoid inductive signal.
Transmission shifted OK and then I replaced the TCC solenoid along with the wire harness, cleaned the pan and magnet, relatively normal amount of debris on magnet and then reassembled and refilled with new fluid and now the transmission sltarts slipping above 35 mph and won't go into O/D.
Any ideas as to what I need to check next? It was shifting OK just prior to replacing the solenoid, I had driven almost 2K miles since purchase.
Looked at some of the other threads-there was one mentioning a valve body gasket issue causing slipping, and there are two bolts holding the solenoids in that go in far enough past the VB gasket, think that may have been damaged by removing and reinstalling those bolts?
Thanks for any help!
