99 Transmission into 2002?

Can I put a 99 (2nd gen) 5r55e transmission into a 2002 (3rd gen)?

Both Explorers are 4wd with the 4L SOHC Engine.

I guess not, seeing as the 3rd Gens have a 5r55w and that would just be asking for trouble.
