what transmission came in a 97 Ex Sport with 4.0 SOHC?

I found a cash for clunkers 97 Sport that the odometer says only had 58K on it.
I can get the transmission for $90 with a 30 day exchange.

I thought that all 2nd Gen EX Sports with the 4.0 SOHC came with the 5R55Es.

I just bought a 99 EX Sport with the 4.0 SOHC in it that has 130K and the transmission is acting up.

Does anyone know if they are interchangeable or do I need to go under the donor and look for a tag?
