2010 Explorer Limited AWD
Hello,

I just bought this used 2010 Ford Explorer Limited AWD V8. The AC works fine in the front seats, but in the back seats it blows heat. I took it in and had the freon recharged and they tested for leaks but didn't find any.

My dad mentioned that there is a switch or actuator that allows the heat to switch to AC and vice versa. Could this be the root cause if the problem only occurs in the back seats? Is there a second switch for the rear AC? Any help would be appreciated.

You, absolutely sounds like the blend door actuator.
Pretty sure this is the correct one. There are two different actuators. The real fun is disassembling the panel to get to it. Check YouTube.

I replaced both actuators in the rear of the vehicle, but the a/c in the back still just doesn't feel as cold as the air in the front. Any other ideas?
