A/C Problem... No clue what's wrong.

Pulled out my blend door and sure enough, the top part was broken. Going to stop by Oreilly and pick up a replacement door. Dorman is fine, for replacing the blend door, right?

Is this the part I'm looking for? I noticed it said Floor console blower... I don't have that, that I can tell. Also, called up to the store and the guy quoted me $40. Called napa about this item

And they quoted me something like $48. Notice that part also mentions a floor console. Is this the part I need, or do I need the way more expensive part that they're quoting me over the phone?

EDIT: Also note that I didn't ask for these specific parts by number, I just asked about a blend door for a 1998 Ford Explorer, 5.0L.

Awesome. Thanks a ton for the help guys, kinda upset that it took me this long to come ask, and find out how relatively inexpensive it is. Let's hope this is the fix!

Dorman OE Solutions - Hvac Heater Blend Door
Part # 902-202

Yes, sir. That is the one. OReillys autopart stores usually have them stocked if you cant wait for shipping.

Replaced the blend door, it was a bit of a chore getting it in, and getting it lined up with the stud on the old actuator. Got it all in there, sealed the flap up nice and tight, and now this baby blows cold as ever! Can't believe this fix was so relatively simple. You guys saved me a ton of money, thank you very much!

Yay. Thanks for updating this.

I am, and I am. The truck is overall still in great shape, but there's tons of little odds and ends that need fixing. Hydraulic struts on the hood and rear window, and some crazy alarm system that needs to be removed/fixed as well, just to name a couple. Can't wait to dig in with you guys!
