I have a 94 XLT in which the a/c is acting up. When it gets hot outside, the a/c ceases to remain cold and I think the compressor stops engaging (a/c works fine in the morning). Any help/comments would be appreciated. I have recharged the refrigerant in the past couple of days with no effect.

Thanks.

You might have a leak. I have given up on my AC, just use the windows all the time...

Yesterday afternoon, it worked fine for about 15 min, it was 96 deg. F. Then it stopped cooling completely! This morning on the way to work (65 deg. F) it nearly froze me out....would a leak do this?

Check and make sure accumulator/evaporator aren't plugged up/covered in crap.
