AC_recharge

Does anyone have a diagram or picture of the AC system. I want to correctly identify the low side port so I can recharge. I want to ensure I'm not doing it on incorrect port. When I tried to attach hose to what I thought was low side, a loud hissing sound and some time of fluid started coming out. Would like a diagram/picture and can't find one anywhere (2003 Explorer Sport Trac)

The low side port is always on the passenger side, and the high side port is always on the drivers side. The ports are of different size, so you can't mess that up. And yes, there will be a hiss for a moment as you make the connection. It'll do it again when you take it off. Do it quick.

Passenger side next to the blower fan. Just a note, set the gauge to the outside temprature, and DON"T over fill it!
