Adjust Front Bumper?

That wouldn't affect how the driver's side comes down like the picture, the way it's bent isn't even at that angle.. and it's barely bent at all.. made no difference in mounting it the way it's supposed to be.. I think it has to do with that side metal piece I unbolted awhile back........

FWIW, I meant it was a two person job in that it's a helluva lot easier to have someone holding the bumper in place while you get the bolts back in to put it back on. otherwise, it's kinda tricky.

Maybe you need to get to the gym once in a while? :dunno:

Yeah... 2 people do make it a little easier but it is a 1 man job...:p:

Wow, I sense an Explorer pulling contest at the next Rausch Creek event :D

Only if you run your winch to my rear tow hook for some support

:D

Hey, no comments from the peanut gallery. I pretty much live in the gym. :D Taking it off isn't bad, but it's kinda hard to get the bumper lined back up and the bolts through to hang it in place while you tighten them down. Maybe I just suck, I don't know.

It can be a little tricky lining it all back up again. :p:

I just used my knee to hold it up, and then tightened the bolts.

good heavens this is one out of control thread

Take the bumper off.
Measure from the floor to the centrer of the bolt hole. Compare to the bolt hole on the other side. With in 1/4 inch ? Fine.

Get a small level.
Put it on the face of the bumper bracket.
Is the bubble with in 3 degreese of the other ?
No ?
Do you have oxy-acetylene torches ?
Yes ?
Do you KNOW how to use them ?
No ?
End of thread.

Yes ?
Heat them up and bend with in 3 degreese of the correct side.
DO NOT FORCE COOL !!!!!!!!!!!

Huh?....

Only because this thread has turned left towards thread-lovers leap cliff...

Obviously you don't know much about guys from Jersey. They live in the gym.

Keep lookin' over your shoulder. You're lucky I don't live on West anymore. :p:

Do you think this had to do with the support I accidentally unbolted before? This is a brand new bumper.

Just take a sledgehammer to it and beat the living s**t out of it..then you won't care if it's off a hair....

I'm about to.... haha...
Nah, It's fine.. it's just a bumper. It's better than it was before though.

11 years later, the info still comes thru for ya.
