I was told this was a very helpful site. I have alot of experience with mud tires.I was just looking for opinions on all terrains as I see lots of guys on here use there rigs for offroad /highway as I do. Obviously bad idea posting on here.......

Are there certain requirements you need to meet to post on here???????

I've got a set of the BFG A/T's on my Ex. Absolutely love them and highly recommend them.

this question is kinda vague in my opinion...

you say you do alot of highway driving, but you like to go off road as well...

what type of " off road " terrain do you wheel on ?? and how often ??

sand - light mud - heavy mud - dirt trails ???

by answering this question my fello members and I would be able to give you a better suggestion of which brands to look into...

help us in helping you buddy !

I have heard that BFG A/T's will last 50,000+ if properly maintained. I have heard that Michelins have an A/T that will last nearly 80,000 when properly maintained but I doubt the traction would be as good as the BFG's. I'll look them up when I get back from dinner.

BFG ALL TERRAINS
GENERAL GRABBER - GREAT TIRES GREAT DEAL

NITTO TERRA GRAPPLERS - HEARD THEY WEAR PRETTY FAST

I have mickey thompson baja atz tires on my 2006 XLT.

BFG all terrains are NOT worth the high dollar price tag!

I recommend Pro-comp or Nitto.

How often would you save you go off road, and what is your definition of off road?

I haven't found the BFG's to be that much more than others, but they do have proven longevity.

I use my pick up for any serious mud. Take my ex touring around the mountain roads....mostly steep gravel and some mud.....not alot.

Sounds like the BFG`s are the most common.....are they good in the winter....

I have a very worn out set of Michelins on my ex now....great for wear but spin if they even see wet ground!!! ha

Thanks for the tips.....

BFG A/T's are good in the winter and rain. This is my second set. They are pricey in 16" but not that much more in 15". Great all around tire. Handle great, wear decent, best of both worlds.

Bottom line is everyone has there preferences. Go online or to your local shop and check out what kind of tread pattern you like and what fits your driving style whether it be off road or highway or both.

I picked up the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armour. Very Impressed. Thanks for your responces
