Try a search for "swiss cheese airbox" gobs of info there.

ALL holes go before the filter!! That is all you really need to remember.

nice thanks alot rob? so does this thing rlly help?

yeah, sounds cool, and a bit more pep.

Every little bit you do adds up to a better running truck.
If you drive thru a lot of water I would be a little concerned about that.

haha no i live in socal.. its rlly dry. well im gunna do it. do u guys have any regrets?

I regret not paying more attention in school.

LOL, honest funnay!!!!!!!!!!

ughh ok... well im in school so thanks for the advice. so wht size holes r good? and how many?

As many as you want and as big as you want there is no right or wrong way to do it.

k.. ill be doing this mod soon

You might want to consider putting most of the holes on the side AWAY from the engine (toward the back of the headlight). This would give you more of the cooler air that leaks by the headlight and the bumper as opposed to the warm air in the engine compartment.

yea dude tht will help alot.. thanks. so do u have a swiss cheese airbox?

here is my air box ( Prior to my MAC intake )

doesnt look quite swiss cheesed to me. did u jst take a jigsaw to it or somthing? is it better with one big opening? or many small openings? and problems with water getting in there?

1) I used a cut off wheel
2) Yes, volume is the key,
3) No water problems, but I NEVER go wheelin'

I opened the bottom of the airbox in my Olds Alero just like MonMix's and it made a difference, though mostly in sound. All you are really doing is making more air available to the filter, but the stock filter and filter-throttle body tubing is still restrictive. To get the real effect, replace everything to the throttle body.
