I have a 2010 Sport Trac Adrenalin with the factory audio system. I added a Nakamichi NBF10.2 sub but will also keep the factory sub set-up behind the back seat. I have it running but with 2 issues. There is no remote turn on wire at the factory sub amp input connector (behind rear seat). I was hoping there was an accessory/antenna output on the sync/audio system, but I can't find any reliable wiring info and don't want to tear the dash apart just looking. For now, I am just using an accessory power to control the amp but would really love to have the head unit control the amp so it's not on all the time the engine is running. The amp is set up to activate when it sees the high-level speaker input. I tapped into the subwoofer speaker line between the factory amp and the factory sub. This works for the audio, but the amp never turns off as long as the key is in run or accessory so it must see something on speaker that turns it on regardless if the head unit is on or not. Don't know if I can use the factory sub amp input lines. If anyone knows if the factory sub amp input can be used as an RCA or line level to feed the new amp or if there is any sort of remote turn on signal, I would be extremely grateful. Can't find any info on this at all.

Or, get a makamichi head unit, use 5 v anti thump regulator to factory sub amp
Thanks, that may end up what I do. As always nothing is ever easy.

Factory amp on signal is only 5 v line. Find that, splice in a 12 v regulator in line to new sub amp.
I am going to look for that 5v signal today. Thank you . the factory amp connector has 5 wires on it. One being constant +12v; then a ground plus 3 wires which I assume are left, right, and common, but I was also only looking for a +12 turn on so I will start over. Thank You
