Ok, So i didnt go the route of MAC intake yet mainly because i dont feel the need to spend 170 untill spring and summer comes around. And My dad might get the 5.0 cause i cant afford to drive it... :(... So heres my question.. I bought a cone filter from the local parts store as well as a maf adapter and a tube connector... Well needless to say the maf adapter was to small so i fabed up the stocker to work with it, but from the end of the maf to the pipe that goes to the TB, i cant find an adapter big enough. I bouth a 3".. is ours 3.25 or 3.5 inch or what.... Where can i get one. I looked in a few places loacly and on the net. I was JW if you guys had any ideas... BTW that 5.0 sounds MEAN with that stock box off...That, a maf cleaning and a tune up, i WALKED on that jeep btw. And i solved the 10 MPG mistery..... Thanks for your help

Theres my intake.. what do you suggests i do for the taped part. Im thinking about just sealing the space in between the filter and maf, but then i cant clean it. Where can i get a good maf adapter? I saw a few on ebay, but they want 15 for shipping and that say V6 V8 in title, but in the description it says 4.0 only....

HA, no, i wish.. Were talking about getting a mini spike ha, my gf named the 5.0 spike.... dont ask, cause i kinda dont know. Im looking at a SOHC sport..

No one knows where i can get a maf adapter?

Ok
what you could do is use a chunk of the 3" silicone coupler on the maf-then slide the 3.25" over it and clamp down-

What was the issue with the maf adapter you did find? if you can get the airflow hole to line up-just re drill the mounting holes?

Very classy! I bought my MAF adapter on ebay. The holes didnt match 100% but since it was aluminum, it was easy to hone them out to make them fix.

At Pepboy, Spectre sells a MAF adapter with universal holes. I bought it for a friend and just drilled holes to match his. Worked fine. Hope this helps!

Great Products, Great Prices

Should be able to use the Large Ford MAF adaptor. Could join the spectreforum on their site and they could help you out. They are very helpful and will get back to you ASAP.

Thanks. I believe the bore was too small. Ill take a double look. I looked at spectra and they had what i wanted, but idk where to buy it. None of the auto parts stores in Omaha carry them... HA, as it stands if i can get the maf adapter to work im in 30 bux so no biggy. ill go look and see what i can work out. Thanks for the ideas/advise.

Thats the one i bought. Ill post pix when every it shows up!!

I am pretty sure that the Spectre Ford (large) MAF Adaptor is 4". Not totally sure. How big is your MAF?

Its the stock maf so what 65mm.... its atleast 3.5". the only ones they stock around here ar 3". i bought that maf adapter and it LOOKS big enough. if not no biggy. ill just resell it or sell it to a v6 guy localy!!

Oh... Then what size is the stock maf because it sure as HELL is no 2.5" I cant get a 3" around it, is the came size as the 3" and the flange where the adapter is the 3" connector goes IN the maf housing.

i wasnt sure of the conversion im a bad math student... :) i would have done it the long way, like go inches to feet feet to meters then meters to MM

oh-
the inside diameter of the maf TUBE is 65mm, however, the air filter mounting flange diameter, on the maf adapter, will be 3.5" most likely

Ok, thats makes more sense. Im hopeing that adapter will work.. The stock tubing on my 5.0 looks pretty good. So all thats left is somehow make a box, figue out how the other half of the stock box comes out and a bigger maf way down the road. thanks jt for clearing that upi for me!
