So I was looking to go to Uhaul to borrow a car dolley to tow a car home from about 50 miles away and wouldn't you know that Uhaul says my explorer is not a suitable tow vehicle. I found this odd but than I fgured ok, I have a V6, maybe thats why, so I thought I would borrow my friends 03 V8 explorer, but that also is not a suitable tow vehicle according to them. I than went through every single year explorer and Uhaul will not accept any year explorer, any engine. I just thought I would share this with everyone because it actually bothered me a little lol. I wonder what the issue was. Also, Its not the weight issue because I wanted to tow an older RX-7 that weighs almost nothing ha.

Ever since the whole roll-over issue that explorers supposedly had several years ago U-Haul decided not to allow explorers to tow. They still allow mountaineers though. There's a few threads buried in here somewhere about this...

like everyone has said its bc of the whole firestone thing sucking at life..ha just kidding but i really think its bc the explorer is the most popular SUV and they just want you to have to rent there trucks to tow so they make a lil extra money but thats just my thought
