3.5 cu ft is too small....Type R's favor larger enclosures.

I would do 4 cu ft minimum. I had a single Type R 15 in 4.3 cubes tuned to 40Hz. Slammed like mother and sounded good too. Took my Nine.1 easily.

Nice looking box.....Worthless sub.

actually the sub was not mine...it was my friends but I was just using it.

It was a MA Audio HK150XC...actually a quite decent sub...not worth the 350-400 dollar retail price. My friend got it in a trade. It was rated at 600 watts rms but I fed it 900 watts rms daily and it took it perfectly fine. Loud as hell too in that enclosure.

I had my 15 Type R in that same enclosure and it was ridiculously loud for a single 15.

Id watch the gains. Keep them low. ~750watts seems to be the good spot for the Rs.

I gave my 15" Type R 1200 watts and it took it just fine.

Gave my 12" Type R 1000 watts in a t-line and it took it fine too.

R's are underrated if you know what you are doin. One can still fry em on 500 watts though
