A picture is worth a thousand words!

Dead Link Removed

Is Superlift easy to work with to swap these out? No receipt as I purchased from someone on the board here (in excellent condition I might add ;) )

First it is probably obvious, but I cannot see where someting is broke. When I got my lift partw were missing and they were very easy to deal with. SInce it is used if they won't work with you call 4 wheel parts in Tennessee and talk to Kyle. he is a nice guy and can get you squared away. IF you tell him you are from this board he will hook you up with a 10% discount. Of coarse you probably know that and I am just going on and on when a simple yes would have worked.

Dave,
I should have added an arrow to the picture. Look at the top left-hand side, just in front of the bump-stop. You will see the tear - goes clean through. In fact, it's so clean, it doesn't really look like a break in the picture!

J

BTW - Thanks for the tip with 4WP!

I see what you are talking about. I never woulod have figured that out.:D

First off, HA HA!!!;)

Just messin with ya man!!! I have broke that 4 different times now. Superlift wouldn't replace because they said "You abused it and thats why it broke." I got stuck with the $75 to get a new one to my front door. Although when you get your new one you should add some gussets to it. I did and haven't broke it since. Heres mine:

You abuse it? Why would anyone buy a lift not to abuse it?

Yeah - good point. Does that mean these lifts are really built for "posers"?

I've heard of different stories relatied to superlifts warranty... I for one broke one of hte axle drop down brackets (not the one you broke, the other one), and I also had cracks forming in my radius arms, I called them up and they sent not only the improved axle bracket (not sure how improved, but it hadn't broken yet! LOL), two new radius arms (also improved), and two new springs because mine were starting to sag. No questions asked. Others say they like to say things are abused...
anyways, that sucks... it wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to do so much work to get those things replaced, eh?

Do you guys think it's safe to drive it on the road like this?

J

As long as its to the shop to get it fixed. Driving it around will put alot of stress on the rest of the bracket. I wouldn't want you to be out driving it down the freeway at 75 and the rest of the bracket break. That would be bad m-kay.

Anyway I too bought my lift from a board member no receipt, and I just got some parts warrantied this week, just call them be friendly, joking, you know nice! and tell them what you need, this is the third time I have done this and they have been GREAT every time!

Cool guys - thanks. I'll call them in the AM and see if I can get it swapped out.

I broke my trailmaster bracket in the same place on my Ranger. Asfter a couple weld jobs while in place I broke down and took it off and had gussets like the ones above welded on. No problems after that.

Yeah - I'll be adding gussetts as soon as the new bracket gets here...
