Found another sweet looking deal on Craigslist. '91 Explorer 4 door pre runner ( i guess that means it's 2wd), with Fox shocks, Deavers, 33" BFG's, bumpers. needs exsaust and trans. $1200. :thumbsup: Good deal

33x10.5 BFG AT
Fox shocks w/ resivors all the way around.
Custom hoops welded in for the front shocks as well as rear mounts for the resivors.
Extended arms
Warn hubs
Custom tube rear bumper with tire carrier that swings down, and locks into rear gate. ( Never seen one on a Ex done like this)
Custom front tube bumper with hi lift mount. (comes with jack)
I'm told it has headers, but forgot to look.

The hazards of working 6 days a week and 12 hours each day

However I have a trans rebuilt and ready to go shuold have it up by the end of the weekend. Ranger is a whole different issue I need a vehicle here to compare wiring so it can be finished (oh wait gee a '91 Explorer would work great for that!)
 






My dad had a C5 all built to go into the zuk, but he's been thinking about the 700R4...

The C5 should slide right in and we'll be up in running. Just need a manual t-case, as the auto t-case is shot or just needs a electric shift motor;)

The c5 is shorter then the a4ld so you will need to modify the driveshafts. If you go 700r4 I have a core one you guys can have. No idea on how the internals are.

Its going to be about a month before I can get it out of the truck though.

IT's home tranny pee'd everywhere, power steering leaked everywhere, will post pic's in the morning.

Bob consider the t-case sold It will be about a month before I can start on that aspect of repairs.
 






What kind of lift does it have? Drop bracket or cut and turned beams?

I think the beams are turned, I didn't see any drop brackets. It has custom tube arms and custom hoops for the springs and shocks. Who ever did it new what they were doing. It's very well set up.:thumbsup:

The rear is 10 pack (or how many ever) under Deavers, with dual foxs (4 total)and one set has resivors.

One thing that really caught my eye is the trimed the front bumper right under the plastic molding. Also has custom bracing inside the factory bumper. then the pre runner bumper slides into little recivers, and has a hoop mount under the frame to support the skid plate. Very clean and nicely done!:thumbsup:

The front fender have been trimed and open up to, but then folded back under again, very clean, and well done.


The rear tire carrier is intersesting, it's way over to the driver side, so much that the near bald 33" BFG Baja sticks out past the body. It swings down, but latchs in to the liftgate almost like a B2 mount. The gate flexs from the weight. It's intersting... and could maybe work with braceing in the door.
