Well, its deffinitely nothing special that's for sure. Vehicle is a 1994 Plymouth Voyager Minivan. Cost: $0. My friend decided he was going to get rid of his van seeing as he will be starting school (joining me at UNH :chug: ). Only problem is it needs a new water pump. Absolutely nothing else wrong with it. He was going to take it to the local junkyard when I said I would take it if he was giving it away. I will do the water pump and also plan on other fix-ups (plugs, wires, t-stat, check hoses, clean it inside and out - it needs it). I have no intentions of putting this on the road, I just can't do that to the X. Figured I would fix it up and sell it to make some $$$. Money is a nice thing to have when you are a college student. I should be getting this beast tomorrow night. I will throw soem pics up here of it and will post some more when it is all pretty (or something close to it). Just figured I would post about my crazy escapades.

Haha...that's awesome. My parents used to have a '94 Town & Country it had no problems at all, even though a lot of people have experienced tranny replacements and other stuff needing to replaced but even at 122k, every powertrain parts were still original. But unfortunately, it was totaled last year and the insurance paid only $5000 for it. You can definitely use that sometimes...

Just so you know the brakes suck on those things! My old work had one that was the first year with abs. It was a death trap! The brakes worked fine until you slammed on them, like in a panic stop. They would just not work at all then. Scary as hel! :nono:

Non-Grand chrysler vans look too short and stubby! :p

Interesting, ours didn't have brake problems at all. But then again, it's a huge vehicle.

well, as it turns out my friend doesn't know much about cars and the thing is done. I drove it and before it got really hot I noticed that the transmission slips like hell and revs really high before shifting, the brakes suck and have a tendancy to lock up unexpectedly, and the paint is pealing BAD. I really don't see putting any money into it to fix it up especially since I will be going back to school in a few weeks and I just found out today I will also be working during the year so I won't have the time. Oh well. I haven't put any money at all in it and he said he would pick it up tomorrow and take it off to the junk yard, so no loss on my part.

I drove that thing and felt all wrong. I cheated on my Explorer with a Plymouth Voyager. Thats like having the perfect woman that is absolutely nothing but there for you and does you no wrong and cheating on her with the dirty old hooker on the side of the road with every STD known to man. I made sure I apologized to my X so that she would not get upset with me. :D

snocross, is it cheating if I have two Explorers?

or is it like a 3 some...

3-some all the way ;)

Come on, boomin, I feel bad enough as it is. I only drove it once and I felt dirty the whole time. Does it make a difference if I never had any intentions of keeping it? Driving that piece for 3 miles makes me love my explorer 1000x more. It will be out of the driveway tomorrow. I felt embarassed to be seen driving the damn thing. I'm going to go throw up now :D

keep it, fab some sort of lift (im pretty sure its body on frame), beat the living piss out of it

Throw it up on Craigslist. I'll bet you could get at least $500 for it.

Relax, snocross, you did not cheat on your Ex! Your intentions were not dishonorable, since you did not intend to keep the minivan, only fix it and sell it.

Besides, don't be superstitious. Explorers have no feelings. They are just machines.

However, just to be safe, you might want to wash her, wax her, buy her some nice accessory. Maybe she would like a black leather nose bra.

Shes got a new Pioneer headunit to go in today :D

And the van is looong gone
