Anybody know what an sport-trac cab would cost? What kind of problems would I run into putting it on the ranger?

isnt the sport trac based off of the ranger frame anyway? so basically youre trying to make your own sport trac - way to much work for what its worth.

Les work maybe, but not one of a kind.

I am sure it is doable. Check your yards. I have found Ranger cabs for 600.00 Ext Cab. So I know with enough searching you could find one.

Ouch! Finding a sport trac in a junk yard with a good cab on it may be tough, if its in a yard its probabyl totalled = body damage.

There was a ranger not too long ago with a Supercab cab and a BII bed :) Gen I sport track kinda.

We all know anything is possibly, body mounts and slight frame mods are not that difficult, I would think the key here is finding a cheap enough in decent enough shape S trac cab.

I agree buying one would be easier, and with 2 kids available project time is not much. But I've gone without a mechanical project for so long now that the itch is really bad. I gotta do something! Maybe I'll start checking out the local yards for sport trac stuff...
