ATTN: ALL Mounty Modifiers

I am researching all possible modifications for my mounty. Has anyone ever used the existing reflector holes in the ass-end bumper as cuda-like exhaust outlets? Obviously the leafs would run interference, but possibly pipes could be bent around in a mild V? I have no spare tire.

Do you like that bumper, or are you just trying to change it. I personally like the 98-01 bumpers without the reflectors. You could get a 95-97 Explorer bumper to lose the reflectors. The exhaust going through there would not be good for performance, and trouble to install. There is a frame cross member there also. Good luck,

I like the idea. I have never heard it brought up. You might have a one-off there. Do it and show me please.

I know about the frame, but can bend around it. I'm not sure what kind of performance losses I would experience. I run true duals with no mufflers, I doubt that a few bends are going to cripple me with back pressure. I know it would involve some work, but tell me that wouldn't be a neat outlet.

that would be easy as pie to do, but more lights just means I'm easier to see from the ensuing police helicopter.
