Audio system changes from 2011 to 2016

So after a few weeks of having my 2016 sport I'm noticing that the Sony system seems to be a bit worse coming from my 2011 limited.

I really liked the sound system in my 2011 limited and I expected the same experience in my 2016 sport and that hasn't been the case and I don't know why.

The base is definitely more hollow and the sub seems to not have as much punch. I hadn't thought about do an audio upgrade before but I'm considering it now.

Even tried using forscan to mess with the DSP setting and hasn't helped.

Did you change the Audio settings to Stereo instead of Surround? I noticed the Surround setting doesn't sound very good, but Stereo sounds great.

Also, change the settings where the Midrange is -2 or -3. That helps.

If yours doesn't have this then disregard.

Yes I used surround in my 2011 and it sounded great but not so in the 16. So weird. But I will try your suggestions, thanks!
