I have been doing the CEL shuffle lately and in a lot of threads I've seen people complain that AutoZone only reads OBD II codes....THIS IS BULL!!!
I just had mine read yesterday, I have a 95 and I have both I & II ports, but the port for I is the only one that seems to be reading.
The guy came out to my truck with both OBD I and OBD II testers. The difference is with OBD I they must count the light pulses.
So, if a AutoZone employee tells you they can't check OBD I, ask to speak to the manager!!
