AWD transfer case to 4WD transfer case.

Can a 98 mountaineer awd t-case be replaced with an atlas ll t-case? If so how hard or easy would it be to do? By the way im talking about an awd with a v8.

Don't know about the Atlas II but the BW4406 is just about a bolt in. There are several threads on here about doing it.

they do make a 2 speed case that will bolt up,
on their web page it says when you order somebody will call you within 48 hours to make sure the details are correct, , maybe get on the phone and call them first,

is your 98 Mounty a V8 or V6??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????


Huge important info needed


v6 = 5 bolt
v8 = 6 bolt

Advance Adapters indeed makes an adapter for you to run one of their Atlas t cases in your truck, either way...but the v6 truck will beed some work to fool it into thinking it is now a 2wd

plus you will need alot of $$$$ abnd custom driveshafts... atlas T case = drool city
