Check these things out!! I got these from Suspension Maxx. This is THE way to go. You can get .75", 1.5", and 2" of lift with these. So, if one side is higher than the other, and of course the drivers side is more worn than the other, you can adjust for that!. All you have to do is put the number with the letter on the sides as pictured, and get the appropriate lift. You can even lower with these. The other thing I like about these is that you can back you adjustment bolts back out, and set up for the amount of lift you want, and still be able to run bolts in or out to get fine tuning side to side. go to

www.suspensionmaxx.com

Tell Larry that Scott from Grand Rapids sent ya!

Ok, those are bad ass...

Hmmm...

Yeah!! I hope to get these on Wednesday!! Then Alignment RIGHT after. I also have a broke down and went the evil Warrior 153 way(for now, until I can get the leafs added in) to give me the rear lift seeing how the factory ones are rusted thru and I needed new ones anyhow!! I will have before and after pics

$180....ouch

wow if i wasnt .75" from my front bump stops id use these!

actually might have to snag them up so i can get more tension on the front :) instead of swapping to some stiffer bars.

I have talked to Larry, the owner, a lot lately about his stuff. He really knows the best approach to lift your truck. I have the driver's side adjust bolt all the way in now ,and the pass side almost all the way out. He suggested that I back the driver's side half way out, and back the other out til there is only a cpl threads left. He said I should go with the 2" on drive side and 1.5 on the other. The reason being is that the spring on the driver side has lost a lot of its spring rate. The pass side still has most of its spring rate. The more you turn it up, the faster the spring rate goes up. This way I can still turn in the adjustment bolt on pass side if I have to to level it out. But, he has experienced this before with the Explorers sag, and says that this will get me close.

Still waiting to do these adjusters. I am having the dreaded upper shackle bolt issue on the rear. I wanted to get the shackles changed first before doing the front. I have my 2 year old girl home right now, so going outside and doing it is not a choice. I will have to wait til after 3 to get started. I will bring an old lamp out there if I have to. I want to go hunting in the morning.

What do you think you will gain from buying these vs. doing the FREE "torsion twist?"

Adjustability Bro!! When you crank your adjustment bolts all the way in, you lose the choice of keeping an almost stock ride, to a harsher ride. Also, if one has more sag than the other you can put 2" on one side and 1" or 1.5" on the other all by using the setting for that height. Also, you can lower with these. I see people buy the other ones for almost the same price, and you get 2"...thats it! no choice. Its either 2" or nothing from them. I would just call Larry

1-888-MAXX-CAM

Sick I'd be all over these if I wasn't selling my rig :(

The same thing can be accomplished with a tt or torsion key flip. And, if you run out of bolt you can get longer ones for about 5 bux.

Just sayin.

Maybe I am confused and don't understand these torsion bars though. :D

You will get the same ride quality with these as a TT. think about it, both ways you are just putting more preload on the torsion bars.

OK lets see it this way from MY point of view. My drivers side bolt is ALL the way in. The passenger side is almost all the way out. So, I have lost a HUGE amount of spring on drivers side. I CANNOT just do a TT. I have NO MORE room on that. People say "Get a longer bolt!" How far are you gonna want to turn that key? Until it is hitting something? Some say "Just flip the key!" This is the best way I have found to fix the problem and still be able to get some lift without having to change the torsion bar. Which I hear can freeze inside the the control arm and you would then need to replace that also. I don't agree with every mod other people do on here, but, its their truck, their money. I think they are great, and some may not think so. I am just showing people a NEW idea for once, MY opinion. Why do others on this site think that it is their place to criticize others choices? If you think I am wrong, go look at a thread about spark plugs. Big argument there. If you no likey, no looky!! No need to question MY choice! I know all about the TT's from this site. And this was my choice. 'Nough said.

Well, here is a before and after pic Finally got these done. Got 1.75" from the rear, and I never really got a measurement from front, but now its level. My 31's no longer looked "stuffed" up in the wheel wells. They look like they have the stock separation. I like it. I set the keys to 1.5" both sides, and my drivers side adjuster bolt went from all the way in, to just under half way. Passenger side is still almost all the way out. I don't think I have too much angle in my CV's, but, I should prolly show a pic to get opinions on that. Are longer shocks needed for that kind of lift or no? But, I am still thinking of getting the KYB's Monomax for rear, and something firmer for front.

Got these in and then aligned on Thursday!!. The Tech was apprehensive at first if the truck would even align with the new keys set at 1.5". But, he had no issues what so ever. I only notice very very slight increase in ride stiffness. My wife, who drives it daily to work hasn't noticed it at all. So that tells me a lot. I really love these things. It sure will make getting to any plugs a lot easier also. There is a ton of room to get in there now.

how are they holding up? would you recommend these over just a TT for someone that's never touched their torsion bolts? looks good though:)

They are doing great! I think that the ride is a little softer than a TT. I did try a TT before and the ride was horrid. Plus, my drivers side Torsion Key was all the way in already. I had no more adjustment on it. I did back it out half way before the Maxx Cam and did just a little on the pass side also. I used the 1.5" setting and only had to give the driver side bolt a turn or two. I still have half the bolt now. I love them. It was the next best thing to getting new torsion bar for the drivers side. I highly recommend them.

thanks for the quick reply. I've been considering a TT but dont wanna make my ride too rough. I may go this route instead.
