bad idle and acceleration

my 2000 explorer just developed a rough idle and also struggles too accelerate. also has rich fuel smell. i replaced master air flow sensor like the autozone computer said, also plugs and wires. still not running right. please help.

Coil pack could be an issue. What type of plugs did you put in?

i used motorcraft. i noticed today exhaust coming from the middle of the truck. i looked under it and saw a crack in the pipe before the convertor. could that be the problem

That and a clogged cat. An exhaust shop can check the catalytic converters for you.

V8, OHV V6 or SOHC V6?
