I was wondering if I could pull a car dolly with the ball that is on the bumper. I know that a tow dolly does not have a very high tongue weight, as most of the weight is on the wheels of the dolly. I just want to be safe and not have it rip off my bumper.
TIA

Absolutely not. The only time I would even think about towing a car dolly off of the bumper is if it was empty, other than that you shouldn't even consider it. The bumper is rated for 300lbs of tongue weight, and 3000lbs tow weight. You need to spend a little money and get a receiver hitch for it, you may be able to find one on craigslist, or at a junkyard for not much money.

I have found one it is $75 and the guy said it was negotiable...(I would have paid that) I think that I am going to offer him $50:)
But the reason that I ask is because I need something moved TODAY and I thought that might be able to do it my self...I am glad that I asked here. I have a friend with a 4WD Blazer that I think that I am going to con into it.
Thanks for the help.

I think that would be foolish.

I wouldn't tow an empty wheelbarrow withe bumper.

Can you.. problably.. should you.. problably not..

300lbs and 3000 (might be 3500) is the max tow capacity IIRC.. What are you going to pull? A little honda or something bigger/heavier?

I've gone over the bumper max a few times. but when I do, I'm staying in town, taking it easy etc.. not doing it in rush out etc.. Its not ideal, but I gotta do what I gotta do..

About 100 miles and a 4 door Grand Prix so I think that this will be a :nono:

For as easy as it is to straighten a crooked bumper on an Ex, I would never tow anything with a bumper ball. Good decision! :)

Well as it says I got my friends Blazer to tow it and I do finally get to pull something with my expo....the empty dolly back to the rental place! LOL
Thanks guys for all the help and the quick reply's.
