only thing running is the old no thrills fastback, but i miss my explorer, and my ranger, well i think this thing should have been condemed, or was and ,slipped through the cracks. it's a white step side 1999, yeah give it to prince, always wanted one now i'm down to just rust and motor, before i left on a trip with it i changed the timing chain, 134.000 gotta be done i used to do bodywork and in the part yard if timing covers were off i used to check the lash and the mileage, gotta be well maintained or not be abused to go a 3rd past recomended replacement, if ya can't slap a piston might screw up timing, I had a f-150 with a 4.0 manual trans i don't even remember the year, by it's self going down hill never got past 62, i needed to get home after camping, and 58 miles from the house, i would have had to leave for work as soon as i got it home, so well we hooked it to the explorer with a 3.8 in it, and automatic 4x4, well if you don't say someone may poke fun, the explorer and camper sligthered down the interstate, no stabilizer bar, the old lady and kids made supper and ate before i made it i mean i'm telling the truth here. i drove to omaha to look at rebuilders and the wife's friends husband worked at a ford garage, we left early, and almost didn't make it to the shop in time, on the way back, this is how the trip wen't i was about to pass out at the wheel from boredum close to iowa city, he looked at me and said i don't see what the problem is it drives fine, nice and smooth, he didn't have his ear plugs in, it had to be governed if you had an emergency walking would be faster, i've had four fords with 3.8 my son one, only needed to replace head gaskets in two, i need to look at the 4.0 sho are the heads aluminum, witch will bolt up to my trans or just rebuild the 3.0, all that work why go cheap and mess it up with a chevy or turbo the 3.0
